Refund rules for PaperBanana purchases, credits, and subscriptions

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for PaperBanana purchases, including credits, subscriptions, and other paid digital services.

Because our Service provides digital AI-generated content and incurs immediate processing costs when generations are started, purchases are generally final once credits are used, a generation is completed, or a paid subscription period begins.

2. General Refund Rule

All purchases are considered non-refundable unless one of the exceptions below applies or a refund is required by applicable law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Used credits.
  • Completed AI generations.
  • Downloaded or delivered digital results.
  • Active subscription periods.
  • Purchases made by mistake after checkout confirmation.
  • Dissatisfaction with subjective AI output quality when the generation was completed successfully.

3. Refunds We May Consider

We may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for:

  • Duplicate charges: you were charged more than once for the same purchase.
  • Billing errors: the wrong amount was charged.
  • Technical failure: credits were consumed but no result was generated due to a system error.
  • Service outage: a paid feature was unavailable due to a confirmed platform issue.
  • Unauthorized payment: you believe a payment was made without your authorization.

We may ask for additional information, such as your account email, payment receipt, order ID, generation ID, screenshots, or error details.

4. Time Limit for Requests

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction date.

Requests submitted after 7 days may be denied unless required by law or unless we determine that exceptional circumstances apply.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at support@paper-banana.studio with:

  • The email address used for your PaperBanana account.
  • The transaction date.
  • The payment receipt or order ID.
  • A short explanation of the issue.
  • Any relevant generation ID, screenshot, or error message.

6. Review and Response Time

We aim to respond to refund requests within 48 hours.

If a refund is approved, it will usually be returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.

7. Subscriptions

You may cancel a subscription to stop future renewals. Canceling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period.

8. Credits

Unused credits are generally non-refundable unless the purchase qualifies under the exceptions in this policy.

Used credits are non-refundable because AI processing begins immediately and incurs compute costs.

9. Abuse Prevention

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent, abusive, repetitive, or made in bad faith.
